Celebrity Traitors is back for a second series on the BBC with a whole new cast, including Amol Rajan.
The broadcaster is joining 20 other celebrities for a chance to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Here is everything to know about Amol Rajan as he prepares to enter the iconic Ardross Castle.
Who is Amol Rajan?
Amol Rajan is a journalist, broadcaster and writer who previously served as the media editor of BBC News.
He presented the Today programme on BBC Radio 4 from 2021 to 2026 and has hosted University Challenge since 2023.
Before joining the BBC, he was editor of The Independent newspaper from 2013 to 2016 and was a secondary presenter on The Wright Stuff during its 2006–2007 series.
Rajan has also made appearances as himself on television, including in two episodes of Doctor Who and the drama Industry.
In September 2013, he married academic Charlotte Faircloth, and the couple have four children.
What has Amol Rajan said about being on Celebrity Traitors?
Rajan shared that he was "fully living the dream" to be involved with Celebrity Traitors.
He said: "Oh, my days, I love this show.
"I'm obsessed with the high gothic camp horror.
"I'm definitely in love with Claudia.
"I love the jeopardy.
"I love the drama.
"I think it is the best entertainment format of all time.
"I love the show, but I love the game even more.
"I have been obsessed for 25 years with games of psychological play, mystery and deduction so I loved The Traitors from the start, then it turned out there was a Celebrity Traitors, and it got even better."

When does Celebrity Traitors start?
The new series of Celebrity Traitors will return on Thursday, October 1 and will air twice weekly on Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The official video podcast and spin-off show, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, will also be back on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds.
Also new for 2026 is a special titled Traitor or Faithful? Claudia Decides, available on Thursday, October 1, from 9.15pm on BBC iPlayer.
It will reveal how Claudia selects her Traitors, offer a more personal look at the contestants and give viewers fresh insight into her decision-making process.
