Celebrity Traitors is back for a second series on the BBC with a whole new cast, including Miranda Hart.
The actress is joining 20 other celebrities for a chance to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Here is everything to know about Miranda Hart as she prepares to enter the iconic Ardross Castle.
Who is Miranda Hart?
Miranda Hart is an actress, comedian, and writer best known for her semi-autobiographical BBC sitcom, Miranda, which aired from 2009 to 2015.
The show earned her three Royal Television Society awards, four British Comedy Awards, and four BAFTA nominations.
Before gaining mainstream success, Ms Hart appeared in a number of BBC sitcoms including The Vicar of Dibley (2005), Hyperdrive (2006–2007), and Not Going Out (2006–2009).
She also played Camilla "Chummy" Fortescue-Cholmondeley-Browne in the BBC drama series Call the Midwife (2012–2015) and made her Hollywood debut in the action comedy Spy (2015).
In 2017, she became the first solo female presenter of the Royal Variety Performance in 105 years, hosting the event in the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Hart married chartered building surveyor Richard William Fairs in July 2024.
In August 2024, she revealed on The One Show that she had been chronically ill for three years.
In her memoir, I Haven't Been Entirely Honest with You, published in October 2024, she disclosed that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease, which led to her becoming bed and house-bound with ME/CFS.
What has Miranda Hart said about being on Celebrity Traitors?
Speaking about her involvement in Celebrity Traitors, Hart shared: "My decision-making in life generally, and certainly work, is follow the joy.
"I haven't done much TV work for a long time, having only recently come out of long-term ill health issues and when I was offered this, my whole body sort of relaxed, I smiled, and I just wanted to jump about like a schoolgirl with joy."
When asked whether she was better at lying or spotting lies, she said: "Well, she says boldly at the beginning of the experience, I think I'm excellent at both.
"When I watch Would I Lie to You?, about 90% of the time I get it right.
"I very much see myself as a psychological sleuth with no training whatsoever and nothing to back that claim up.
"I like to think that I could guess when people are lying.
"I don't like lying in real life, but when it comes to playing games in the family or whatever, I'm scarily good at lying."
