YEADING extended their unbeaten run to nine games in Ryman League Division One North with a 5-1 victory over Hertford Town.

Matt Miller poked them in front from four yards, but on the half-hour Hertford's Jon Moore guided home a low cross to equalise.

Just before half-time Errol Telemaque headed 'Ding back in front and this time there was no looking back as Yeading moved to within two points of second-placed Wealdstone.

Within four minutes of the restart defender Nick Leach extended the lead, following up after Miller had hit the post.

Yeading's fourth came from a Miller penalty and Miller was denied a second successful penalty when Hertford keeper Matt Cope pulled off an 82nd minute spot-kick save after a defender handled on the line.

'Ding netted for the fifth time in the 87th minute when Mark Xavier headed in a corner.

Their next fixture is a Boxing Day deby at home to Slough (ko 11.30am).
