QPR boss Michael Beale called on his frontline to continue their ruthless streak ahead of the Rs’ Championship clash with Swansea City tomorrow afternoon.

Beale has seen his side recover from a sluggish start to the campaign to net six goals in impressive victories over promotion chasers Watford and bright starters Hull City.

Tomorrow’s match-up pits the Royals against a Swansea side who have stuttered so far this term with one win from their six league outings.

Nevertheless, Beale, who remarked on the changed mood at Loftus Road pre-match, called on his team to remain focused and challenged his attackers to extend their purple patch.

"A week can make all the difference in the Championship.” Beale told QPR's website.

“The games come thick and fast, and we're delighted with the two results we've picked up this week.

“It's important now that we quickly focus on Saturday's game at Swansea.

"If your forwards are hot - which obviously Chris Willock and Ilias Chair have been in the past few games - it makes a hell of a difference.

"That's been the key thing for us so far this season. Against Blackpool and Rotherham, we didn't take our chances but against Middlesbrough, Watford and Hull we were ruthless in the penalty boxes and that's the difference.”

The former Aston Villa and Rangers coach called upon his old boss - and friend - Steven Gerrard for assistance in QPR’s deadline day capture of midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.

After joining on a season-long loan, the 19-year-old is in line to make his debut this weekend in a match which could also see former Rangers defender Leon Balogun make his first appearance for the club.

Beale announced he has no fresh injury concerns following Tuesday night's game and welcomed the two most recent additions - which took the west London club’s total incomings to seven.

And he was also keen to thank the QPR board’s backing in what could be an exciting season for last year’s mid-table side.

“We went into the window with two key aims,” Beale added. “To retain our key players and re-energize our squad with players who have elite experience and high future potential to develop our style and identity as a team.

“I am thrilled with the seven signings we have made, we have added real energy to our squad.

“We couldn’t have done much more in the window. Even by using those players alone you have the nucleus of a very strong side, with [Kenneth] Paal, [Jake] Clarke-Salter, Balogun and [Ethan] Laird at the back, Iroegbunam as a ‘six’, Taylor [Richards] an ‘eight’ and Tyler [Roberts] in attack.

“We want to play with energy and attacking aggression. We are getting to the stage now where we can do that while using five subs from the bench to maintain that level.”

A third win on the bounce could see Beale’s men rise as high as the Championship summit, while Russell Martin’s Swansea may end the weekend inhabiting one of the relegation spots should they go a fifth game without victory.
