Manager Thomas Frank believes Brentford responded well to an unbelievable atmosphere at Goodison Park as his side ran out 3-2 winners against Everton.

Frank Lampard's side were reduced to nine men after red cards to Jarrad Branthwaite and Salomón Rondón.

And the Bees took advantage, with a Seamus Coleman own goal and headers from Yoane Wissa and Rico Henry cancelling out strikes from Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

"It was a crazy game. We had to perform in an unbelievable atmosphere, maybe one of the better atmospheres I have heard," said Frank.

"Especially at the beginning of the game in the first 20 minutes. We started poorly in the first 10 to 12 minutes, and generally, in the first half, we handled long balls badly.

"That gave them two chances, and it gave them their penalty, but after the goal, we came back into the game.

"The way we came back twice in the second half in an atmosphere like this is incredible.

"It was an incredible header from Rico Henry for the third goal, and I'm very pleased with Rico's first season in the Premier League, but I want more.

"It's been a good season, but it's not been a top season, and that is because I see him every day, and I see the potential that he has."

The result is a massive blow to Everton's hopes of survival, with the Toffees now sitting in 16th, two points and two places ahead of Burnley and the relegation zone with a game in hand.

In contrast, the result is another exclamation mark on an excellent campaign for Frank and his side.

They end the weekend in 11th with 46 points, above established Premier League sides such as Southampton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

Frank added: "I don't know how we have achieved this points total.

"I guess it is because we have some very good players and we have a very good team, and we try as much as possible to play the same home and away.

"[On taking 15 points from losing positions] I am very proud of that. I hope the fans are even more proud of that because to do that in the Premier League as a newly promoted side... it is a special group.

"I know the fans love them, but it is a very special group."
