Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton said he was sick of apologies from match officials after his side fell to a 2-0 defeat at home against Fulham.

The Championship's top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic scored either side of half-time to take his tally to 37 league goals for the season.

The Serbian striker's second came when the referee awarded Fulham a penalty for handball, much to Warburton's dismay.

The result keeps Fulham eight points clear at the top of the table, while their west London rivals drop to ninth after three consecutive defeats.

Warburton said: "We keep getting apologies, but I would far prefer we got given the right decisions.

"We rely on good decisions.

"The linesman hasn't given it, and it's given by an official with a hard view and surrounded by players.

"That decision killed the game, it killed our momentum, and they have what seems from the outside a comfortable 2-0 victory.

"The fans were getting behind us, they saw us on the front foot, and I felt another decision didn't go our way today.

"That type of decision, at that stage of the game, just kills it. It gave Fulham some breathing space, and again today, we have been the recipients of another poor decision."

"I am so frustrated for the players. We had a tough February and March and had a good, honest chat.

"We came into this game in a confident mood because we trained well and were looking forward to the encounter. Now we have suffered another very, very poor decision."

Mitrovic's first came in the 14th minute when Fabio Carvalho found the striker with a cross to finish a free-flowing attacking move.

Carvalho could have scored a goal of his own but his deflected attempt hit the woodwork.

The Hoops have now conceded eight goals in three games while scoring just two.

Warburton added: "We wanted to be aggressive with the substitutes. I obviously wasn't content we were losing, but I wasn't concerned at that point.

"We went out for the second half, and I thought we were on the front foot.

"I thought we had more of the ball, and then we have a decision which hurt us.

"I think if you look at the replay on the first goal, we could have been tighter, we could have blocked the near post, but Mitrovic is a class act."
