Thomas Frank is eager for his side to find the back of the net against Barnsley when they face them in the Championship.

Brentford extended their unbeaten run to five games last time out when they were frustrated by a 0-0 draw away at Wycombe Wanderers.

And despite not being able to find the back of the net, Frank is not worried about his strike force as his side head up to Oakwell.

“I think we have created enough chances in the season so far and you can see that Ivan (Toney) has scored a lot of goals for us,” Frank said.

“Of course, we like our wingers to produce more, but I 100% back them.”

It’s a mid-table clash for the two sides with Brentford in 11th place on 17 points and the Tykes in 13th with 16 points.

Valerien Ismael's side made it back-to-back victories on Saturday, having won four games in five, after beating Nottingham Forest 2-0.

And while Frank was frustrated with his own team's result, the Brentford head coach is feeling much better about the introduction of five substitutes in the league – even if he didn’t utilise them all.

“I will use five subs when I think it’s the right thing,” Frank added.

“It’s also a little bit about the times on the bench so if we went up 3-0 then 100% I would use all five of them, but it could also be to win the game I’ll use all five subs, but tactically it was not the right thing to put all five on.

“It’s important to know this is the first game out of many games, so when we are building up and more games will come, then I’m pretty sure you will see us use all five subs.”
