Ealing Trailfinders have announced the signings of Angus Kernohan and Max Bodilly ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

After their season was prematurely cancelled due to the coronavirus, Ealing had to settle for a consecutive second-placed finish in the Championship but are hoping to go one better next season with the addition of two marquee signings.

Kernohan, a talented 21-year-old winger, has signed from Ulster on a two-year deal after making 21 appearances for the Irish side.

He said: “I’m really excited to join a great squad who are going from strength to strength. Watching from my home in Ballymena since I signed, I’ve been really impressed.

"I hope I can bring something to the squad on and off the field as soon as our current situation settles down and we are allowed to train safely.”

Meanwhile, Bodilly arrives from Exeter Chiefs after making 36 appearances for the Premiership side since graduating from their academy.

With Henry Slade and Ollie Devoto ahead of him in the centre position, Bodilly has been dual-registered for the past few seasons with the Cornish Pirates and the 25-year-old explained how excited he is to join Ealing on a permanent basis.

He said: “I’m really happy to have signed with Ealing Trailfinders They have a strong squad with an exciting style of play and have been challenging at the top of the Championship for a number of years. I can’t wait to get stuck into a new challenge!”
