Paul Gustard is confident his Harlequins side are ready to bring their European form back onto the domestic stage tonight.

Quins currently sit fourth in the Premiership table and head to Sale tonight looking for a victory that would go a long way to securing them a first semi-final berth since 2014.

After a five-game winning streak in the league, Gustard’s side hit the buffers last month with back to back losses to Gloucester and Saracens.

But they bounced back in impressive style last weekend in Europe, downing Worcester Warriors in dramatic style at Sixways to set up a Challenge Cup semi-final clash with Clermont Auvergne.

And with a spring back in their step, Gustard takes his troops to the AJ Bell looking to continue their winning habit.

Gustard said: “We were very pleased to win in Europe at the weekend and reach a semi-final but since then our attention has been solely on our next Premiership fixture as we look to push forward in the league.

“It was an important win for the club to move forward not just in that competition but to continue to develop an unconditional mindset and approach to how we play.

“We have now won as many or more away matches this season than we have done in our previous five seasons, which is reflective of the positive growth we have been developing this season.

“Sale, as we know, are a well-run club under Dimes [Steve Diamond] and a very dangerous team with an array of attacking talent and options, but fortunately so are we and we look forward to this challenge.”

Fly-half Demetri Catrakilis was the hero at Sixways last weekend with the match-winning penalty. And the No.10 gets the nod to make his first league start of the season as a result.

The South African is one of two changes in the back line as Nathan Earle returns to the right wing following his rest week with Ross Chisholm rotated. Cadan Murley moves to the left wing.

Up front there are four changes with Max Crumpton at hooker coming in for the injured Elia Elia. Kyle Sinckler, Alex Dombrandt and Matt Symons all return after being given the European week off.
