John Higgins admitted relief coursed through his body after a tense 4-3 win over Jack Lisowski in the fourth round of the Welsh Open.
Higgins edged a scrappy final frame to book his place in the last eight, with the Wizard of Wishaw glad to be in his own shoes rather than those of the Cheltenham potter.
“It’s just relief, really,” said reigning champion Higgins.
“Jack had two great chances in the last frame. I don’t think he’ll be sleeping tonight, we’ve all had matches like that.
“But I’m delighted to come in and get a chance to clear up, so yeah, I’m really happy.”
