Hoops striker Idrissa Sylla is expecting a tough game against Wolves on Saturday but believes his side are close to putting a winning run together.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw away at Bolton Wanderers stretched QPR’s winless run to seven games but Sylla’s excellent equaliser was enough to rescue a well-earned point for Ian Holloway’s men on their travels.

The goal was the 26-year-old Guinean’s third of the season and capped off a strong second-half performance from the R’s following Darren Pratley’s first-half header.

“I thought a draw was the very least we deserved, ao it was good to take something from the game late on,” said Sylla.

“We were the better team for long spells in the match and if anyone was going to win it at the end, it was us.

“We believe we are playing well and we believe if we keep working hard, the positive results will come.

“We don't feel we're far away from getting wins and going on a run and climbing the table.”

The Hoops’ next opponents are table-toppers Wolves, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in fine form in the league and having pushed Manchester City all the way in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, eventually losing on penalties.

And Sylla, whose strike against Bolton was his second in successive weeks after his goal against Sunderland a week earlier, believes QPR’s home advantage could prove the difference.

“It's another tough game but they all are in this division, as you see every week,” he added.

“Wolves have made a good start to the season but we have only lost once at home in the league, so we are confident.

“With our fantastic supporters behind us, we are looking forward to it.”
