Star of The Chase Jenny Ryan has revealed that she was a victim of robbery and has been left 'shaken and vulnerable'.

The ITV star, best known under her quiz name The Vixen, discussed the ordeal while appearing on BBC's Morning Live.

Talking to hosts Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton, The Chaser told the pair that a conman had entered her flat and stolen a number of items.

Sharing: "It was an ordinary morning and I had a ring on the doorbell, let someone into my block of flats.

"He knocked on the door and he told me the building manager was on his way, there'd been a leak, it was to do with the new kitchen - which we did just have a new kitchen fitted, the landlord just put that in."

Ryan added that the man told her that all she needed to do was take pictures of a leak in her flat.

Questioning the man "a little bit", the ITV star added that because they were her kitchen installation there were "so many people in and out" so she let the man in.

Adding: "Unfortunately he had some bad intentions, he ended up getting into my bedroom with the door closed and when he left I realised he had taken my mobile phone and three pieces of jewellery that had been given to me by my parents for special occasions."

The Chase star soon knew what had happened when she rang her landlord to check the situation, quickly seeing Ryan ring the police to report a robbery.

Sharing the response from police, Ryan said: "Unfortunately all I've had back from them is an automated email saying that they're considering whether they're going to investigate or not.

"I've told them that there are probably fingerprints because he moved furniture, there's lots of CCTV on my street and I know exactly where he went because I had the phone on tracker.

"What I really wanted was a police officer or someone from the local force to call me and make sure I was ok because it's a very scary thing, I was feeling very vulnerable."
