You don't get much for free in life, so when rock promoters The Stool Pigeon advertise a free party with a list of bands that are guaranteed to blow your socks off, it would be rude not to take up the offer.
Despite having to queue from 7pm, the night was a huge success. Based at Brick Lane's 93 Feet East, the line-up included the much-vaunted Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, the unpronouncable 3HOSTWOMEXICANSANDATINOFSPANNERS, and surprise triumphs the Creepy Morons.
Strange haircuts, topless drummers and very loud guitars were in evidence, and with mosh pits, crowd surfing, and plenty of spilt beer, the youthful rock minions were left distinctly satisfied, if a little wet.
