RAF Northolt today celebrates the arrival of a number of units from RAF Uxbridge with a formal “march in”

The Queen’s Colour Squadron is due to parade with the Queen’s Colour along West End Road and into the Main Entrance of RAF Northolt at 2pm this afternoon.

The parade will be led by the Central Band of the Royal Air Force.

The march in follows the official closure of RAF Uxbridge yesterday (Wednesday) RAF Northolt has undergone a redevelopment under the MoD Estates London (MoDEL) project and units have slowly been transferred over the past few months to their new home at the West End Road base.

The Queen’s Colour Squadron, the Central Band of the RAF, Headquarters Music Services and the Service Prosecution Authority are all now based at RAF Northolt in state of the art new facilities.

Crowds are expected to line the streets today to welcome the units to their new home.
