IF you are thinking about organising a party, The Lantern may well be the answer. It is a busy little taverna situated 100 yards from Ealing Common Tube Station on the Uxbridge Road.

The Lantern offers a complete night out with superb food, wine and entertainment all in large portions. The resturant has been in business for 50 years and staff really know how to throw a party.

Your table, once booked, is yours for the whole of the evening.

The Lantern specialises in parties so leave the organising to the staff. Meze, live music, the sheer exuberance of The Lantern and years of experience will ensure that you have a wonderful time. The Lantern is a superb party venue offering all-in rates for parties including as much as you can eat and an awful lot to drink. To get the atmosphere right, tables are decorated with party poppers and balloons and staff ensure your drinks are on the table awaiting you.

The one thing that you will not get at the end of your night is an enormous bill and a long debate about who owes for what. Wine, beer, mineral water and Greek brandy are all included in the price. If you want to drink spirits they do have a very well stocked terrace bar right at the front of the taverna, where Christis will fix you the drink of your choice.

There is live music every single night of the week. Michael Franks is the resident musician and there are numerous guests every week. But do note, although the food is Greek, the music is English. Their musicians start at about 8.30pm so they suggest you arrive at 7.30pm for 8pm.

The fully inclusive cost of the night out is normally £30 per person. However, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the end of November the price will be £25. The price per head includes the full Meze, half a bottle of wine, half a litre of mineral water with two bottles of beer each and coffee and metaxa brandy to finish off with. It also includes VAT, and no service charge will be added or expected. It really is a fully inclusive price.
