FAMILIES are invited to enjoy a free day of summer fun at Ealing Broadway this week, with creative activities, giveaways and a sandcastle-building competition on offer.
Taking place in the Town Square on Thursday (30) from 11am to 2pm, the event will also shine the spotlight on Home-Start Ealing, a charity providing practical and emotional support to parents and carers with young children.
Visitors should head to Sportropolis Beach, where they can pick up a free balloon and enjoy a game of Conversation Jenga.
From 1.30pm, children can put their creativity to the test by building their best sandcastle for the chance to win one of three £25 Smiggle vouchers.
Home-Start Ealing’s team will be on hand to chat about the charity's services, volunteering opportunities and other ways to be involved.
Andrew Rollings, centre director at Ealing Broadway, said: “We're proud to be working with Home-Start Ealing again this summer, to support the fantastic work they do for local families.”
Caroline Chapman, director at Home-Start Ealing, added: “We're incredibly grateful to Ealing Broadway for helping us connect with more families.
The event is part of Ealing Broadway’s wider Sportropolis programme, which runs until Friday, September 4.
Across the summer, families can enjoy the Sportropolis Beach, weekly Saturday Sports Club sessions, football-themed Jump Serve and Sub Soccer challenges, as well as family rugby sessions with Ealing Trailfinders.
No booking is required. All activities are free and suitable for all ages.
