A NEW Reformer studio has opened at Acton leisure centre, giving residents the chance to try one of the fastest-growing fitness workouts in the UK.
It officially opened on Saturday (21) and features 12 specialist Reformer beds. Two weeks of free taster sessions are now underway.
The new studio has been created by converting a former multi-purpose room.
Reformer is performed on a specialist machine with adjustable resistance and a moving platform, allowing workouts to be tailored to different fitness levels.
The exercise has grown in popularity for its ability to strengthen the core, improve flexibility and support rehabilitation.
Sessions can range from gentle, low-impact movements to more intense full-body workouts.
Phil Edwards, contract manager at Everyone Active, which runs the centre on behalf of Ealing Council, said: βItβs a really versatile form of exercise that can benefit people at all stages of their fitness journey.β
Acton centre is set to benefit from further upgrades this year, including an expanded main gym with a larger free weights area.
