WITH classrooms across the borough closed for half-term, Ealing Broadway shopping centre has put on a programme of low-cost activities.

There’s something for everyone, from free plant giveaways to fairground rides. Highlights include:

  • Free plant giveaway with Greenka: Taking place outside Tesco on Friday and Saturday (11am–4pm), shoppers can pick up one of 800 free house plants, while stocks last.
  • Fairground fun: Two rides, including teacups and a train ride, will be in the Town Square all week, at £3 per ride. In a feel-good twist, 10% of all profits will be donated to the centre’s charity partner, Home-Start Ealing.
  • Kids eat free: Both Turtle Bay and Comptoir Libanais are offering a free kids’ meal when an accompanying adult spends £15 or more. Visit the restaurant websites in advance for terms and conditions.
  • Get competitive at Gutterball: Two hours of fun from £16.50 a person, including an hour of bowling and another activity to choose from, whether that’s pool, darts, karaoke or shuffleboard, alongside a drink. Book in advance here.
