ONE of the world’s top record producers was in Ealing at the weekend to help launch a record to raise funds for the charity, Food For All.
Youth says he was inspired by the work of Food For All and by the memory of Beatle George Harrison.
This Love, available in 12in single, 7in single, CD and digital, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios. It features musicians from the Radha Krishna Temple, supported by Harrison.
Youth is a multimillion-selling record producer who has worked with Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and The Verve, Crowded House and Razorlight.
Speaking at a record and CD fair at Christ the Saviour Church Hall, he said: “I was introduced to the Hari Krishnas through Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex.
“I was very happy to help and support this project. They are brilliant examples of human beings.
“Through their charity Food For All UK, the temple does so much good work, producing thousands of meals a day from their kitchen near Kings Cross.”
The musicians on the charity single play a wide range of instruments in what Youth calls a multi-fusion collective.
