UNLOCKING the potential of West London, including Ealing and its neighbours, is the theme of a parliamentary reception to be held next month.
Hosted by the West London Alliance, it will welcome delegates to the Thames Pavilion on November 11, 2-4pm, for an event sponsored by Ealing Southall MP Deidre Costigan, former deputy leader of Ealing Council.
It will bring together a coalition of politicians, businesses and community leaders from across West London and beyond to discuss how to unlock the area’s potential.
An Alliance spokesperson said: “Our vision is to make the most of our status as the world’s most globally connected place, served by Heathrow, the Elizabeth Line and the new HS2 station at Old Oak Common.
“Our role as London’s front door, alongside our world-leading universities, established and emerging industry clusters and diverse population, means our potential for supporting growth is significant.
“However, that potential will be held back without investment in our infrastructure through new orbital transport, upgraded electricity grid, a workforce with skills for the future and continued support for our world-leading sectors, such as film and screen.”
