Ex-ter-minate! One of the key exhibits at Gunnersbury (Image: Gunnersbury)
GUNNERSBURY Park Museum’s latest exhibition, Set to Stun: Designing & Filming Sci-Fi in West London, opens this Friday (20).
For nearly a century, the area has been home to a hive of workshops and design studios that fed into some of the country’s most iconic sci-fi films and TV shows.
From laser beams to paranoid androids, exploring faraway planets to alien invasions, visitors will see an interactive showcase of sets, costumes, prosthetics and props that went into classics like Doctor Who, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Red Dwarf.
The exhibition is going ahead after raising more than £16,000 from community donations.
It is free to enter, and is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-4.30pm.
