EALING'S programme of summer events officially kicks off this afternoon in Greenford.
The Greenford Carnival signals the start of the annual Ealing Summer Festival, which brings some of the most talented performers from across the land to the borough over a three month period.
Soul star David Mensah will be performing for fans at the carnival in Ravenor Park, Ruislip Road, as well as the Oddfellas and the Irish dance group.
Yes Brazil will also bring a touch of Carnivale to procedings with a colourful Samba showcase.
Other attractions including magic shows, arts and crafts, circus skills workshops, face painting, sporting activities, bird of prey show, market stalls and a range of funfair activities.
The gates open at midday, and events run until 8pm. Entry is £1, or free for children under 12.
