EALING resident James Southgate, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants whose business career spans more than 35 years, has been made an honorary doctor of letters by the University of West London.
James has strong links to the university, having served as a co-opted member of its Audit and Risk Committee between 2014 and 2023.
Professor Peter John, the Vice-Chancellor, said: “He has a wonderful ability to spot the key issues and develop his argument – and, when he speaks, people listen.”
Mr Southgate added: “As a resident of Ealing, it has been a privilege to serve the university and I have been delighted to see it flourish and grow over the years."
