Trees and grass are expected to release millions of grains of pollen in a short period of time as a result of the prolonged hot weather.
Ealing Hospital is already struggling with record numbers of patients coming into A&E with respiratory conditions, like asthma.
High pressure and light winds prevent the pollen being dispersed more easily, meaning that levels remain high and peak during early morning and late evening.
The hospital has issued advice for both asthma and hay fever sufferers, to try to reduce the number of A&E admissions.
