SIXTH-form students from Drayton Manor High School in Hanwell took part in an investment competition to inform them about careers in the City.

The Profit Hunt, run by Artemis Investment Management, included a Q&A evening hosted by Julie Brown, Chief Operating Officer of Burberrys.

The Drayton Manor team competed against five other London schools over a six-month period.

In that time, students learn the core principles of investing, improve their commercial awareness and develop key employability skills.

The winning team this year was from Brampton Manor Academy in Newham, who grew their portfolio 16.1%, with the runners-up from Alperton Community School in Brent.

The winning team receives a week’s work experience at Artemis.
