THE sun eventually came out as people living on the Racecourse Estate in Northolt celebrated the Coronation with a party in Kempton Avenue.
Organisers Lisa and Jason Cole thanked neighbours for turning out and raising £500 for Cancer Research.
“We would sincerely like to thank the support we received from everyone that attended,” said Lisa.
“We had our special friend, who appeared on Britain's Got Talent, arrive from Brighton and get people to donate.
“He appeared as Grandad from Only Fools and Horses, Manuel from Fawlty Towers and Mr Bean - it was a great photo opportunity for all.
“We’d also like to thank Jen and Rosie, who came with slush, popcorn and waffles, as well as Johnny for entertaining with his guitar.
“Jason’s Tribute to Elvis appearance got the crowd on their dancing feet and our 12-year -old daughter Faith raised £50 on her own by face painting.
“Our son Jay did the King’s Burgers and I was able to do candyfloss and cupcakes, with the help of Imogen.”
If you imagine Jason and Lisa are going to have a rest after all that, think again.
They are planning another event for the summer – and that’s before they get started on Hallowe’en!
