ELTHORNE Park High School in Hanwell is celebrating another year of outstanding successes by A-level and Advanced BTEC students.

A total of 143 students sat exams this summer and more than one-third of A-levels were passed at grades A*-A, with two thirds graded at A*-B.

Head teacher Eliot Wong said: “In spite of all of the obstacles put in their path over the last two years, our Year 13s have coped admirably and these outstanding results reflect their dedication and commitment to succeed.”

Ten students achieved three or more A* at A-level, with Oscar Newall, Nadia Kusneraitis and Jocelyn Simpson achieving 4A* each. Nadia also achieved an additional A* for her Extended Project.

Highest performing Advanced BTEC students were Fatuma Danfa, Karina Dhillon-Hayes, Rebecca Harrington, Kelly Morrison, Jake Jerome and Toni-Rose Jobin, who all attained the maximum grades of triple starred distinctions (D*D*D*) in Health & Social Care or Sport.

Rihtik Sohal also achieved a D*D*D grade in Business alongside an A* in Mathematics.

More students than ever chose university, with places in Engineering at Cambridge, Mathematics at King's College, Bristol and Leeds, English and Biochemistry at Birmingham.
