CLAYPONDS Hospital in South Ealing was the setting for a tea party to celebrate the 74th birthday of the NHS.

Staff, volunteers and community members were joined by Ealing, Southall MP Virendra Sharma, who thanked staff for their continued hard work and dedication.

The event also marked the re-launch of the West London NHS Trust Charity.

It has been rebranded to mark a new chapter in its fund-raising activities.

A memorial bench was unveiled in the name of Emily Martin, who worked at the hospital for many years as a healthcare assistant and died during the pandemic.
