A TOPPING-out ceremony marked progress on the Ark Soane development in Acton, which is due to be completed in March.
The site comprises 116 homes, as well as a new 1,200-pupil secondary school, Ark Soane Academy, which opens this year.
Topping-out was attended by key figures from developer Countryside, as well as build-to-rent provider Simple Life London, Network Homes and the Department for Education.
Ark Soane Academy will occupy the first three floors of the six to 12-storey building, as well as use of the surrounding grounds, which include a games area, sports hall and playgrounds.
The rest of the building will be home to 113 apartments. There will also be three separate townhouses.
Homes will be located close to The Woodlands Park and Acton High Street.
