Girl power: Gunnersbury will be saluting the women's football stars
IT’S all kicking off at Gunnersbury Park and Museum this summer with a celebration of women’s football.
To coincide with the Women’s Euros in July, Gunnersbury is holding exhibitions that turn the floodlights on the women’s game, exploring its history and the barriers that had to be cleared.
Look out for Women’s Football in West London and Beyond, including the role of Griffin Park, Brentford FC’s former home, in the game’s progress.
That’s all on top of the usual packed summer programme, including a teddy bear’s picnic, a hunt for mini beasts and pilates for beginners.
Gunnersbury will also be hosting music concerts and immersive cinema.
