A NEW Southall community site is putting on a fun day next Friday, June 3, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Live music and games, plus food and drink, will feature from 11am-3pm at the Green Quarter, which is taking shape on the site of a former car park.
Marcus Blake, managing director at Berkeley St George City, which is developing the area, said: “We’re looking to restore nature and deliver new habitats for wildlife at The Green Quarter.
“It’s something which the Royal Family consistently supports, making this the perfect setting for a Jubilee event.”
It takes place at Central Gardens, a few minutes’ walk from Southall station and bus routes 105, 120, 195, 482, E5 and H32. Pedestrian access will be via Beaconsfield Road or The Straight.
