Lords of the ring: a total of 10 Powerday bursaries were awarded, including two to Ealing boxers
TWO aspiring champion boxers from Ealing borough received Powerday bursaries to help them achieve their sporting potential.
The scheme was launched in 2015 to assist amateur boxers and, since then, the recycling and waste management company has awarded more than 50 bursaries.
Damar Thomas and Archie Fleming were presented with their bursaries at Powerday Hooks Boxing Club in Ealing.
The event was attended by former WBA world bantamweight champion Shannon Courtenay and British middleweight champion Denzel Bentley.
