AN Acton-based charity has received £1,000 from developer Barratt London to support its work delivering community arts and re-greening projects across the borough.

Barratt London, responsible for the Western Circus development on the Western Avenue, provided the donation to Artification to help create a community hub and cafe at the Pavilion in North Acton Playing Fields.

It will allow people to grow healthy food, take part in gardening and cooking classes, and meet friends in the café.

Rachel Pepper, Director of Artification, said: "We hope this hub can become an inter-generational project for people to share skills and experiences.”

The donation will help provide raised gardens, herb beds and the cookery workshops.
