UKRAINIAN musicians and composers are coming together to perform a concert in Ealing tomorrow (7).

This lunchtime event takes place at the University of West London and will include live performances and videos recorded by musicians still living in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Master of Music student Iryna Gould, is the driving force of the concert that hopes to bring Ukrainian music to new audiences.

Iryna said: “Being Ukrainian myself, I can only say the pain of seeing my family, country and people you love being destroyed is just unbearable.

“Consequently, I would like to do something that would help to maintain awareness of this evil and ultimately help rebuild my beloved country."

Sara Raybould, Pro Vice-Chancellor at UWL, added: “Music unites people from all backgrounds and, at a time when we see so much suffering in Ukraine, this concert is the perfect vehicle to show our support and solidarity.”
