A classic Hanwell music festival uprooted for a day to put on a gig in the heart of Acton.
The Hanwell Hootie left its traditional home to help Your Acton BID and Ealing’s High Street Task Force put on a music festival in Acton Mount on 9 October.
Acts including Tommy Hare, Lola Aviva and The Wise Bloods played at the foot of St Mary’s Church, entertaining locals with a mix of country, blues, soul and reggae as crowd numbers swelled through the day.
Natasha Patel, manager of Your Acton BID, praised the diversity and independence of Acton locals that made the event a success.
She said: “We have a great community sense where we work together and try and make Acton better.”
