A TOTAL of 575 homes are planned as part of a new development at Merrick Place in the Southall regeneration zone.

Work is set to begin this year after contracts were exchanged between Network Homes and Build to Rent operator Grainger. Building work is being carried out by Henry Construction.

Grainger will forward fund 401 homes in three blocks as a standalone Build to Rent development.

Network Homes will retain the 22-storey building that will house 42 homes for London Affordable Rent and 132 for shared ownership.

The scheme will also include office and commercial space, as well as communal gardens.

It will be within 100 metres of Southall station and the Elizabeth Line.
