CONTRACTORS working on the HS2 rail project in have refurbished and donated a disused bus to Old Oak Primary School in Acton.
It will be used by pupils and neighbouring groups as an alternative learning and community space.
The bus is fitted out with tables, chairs and a television, allowing it to act as an overflow classroom.
Astroturf has been used on parts of the floor and walls, adding to the sensory experience.
It was officially opened at a ceremony attended by Hammersmith MP Andy Slaughter.
The project, managed by Costain-Skanska Joint Venture, involved sub-contractors Lynch, Lydon’s and Wingate.
