Murder probe after death of girl, 5, in Ealing
A MURDER investigation was launched in Ealing after the death of a five-year-old girl.
Police were called just before midnight on Tuesday (14) following concerns for people at a house on Leyborne Avenue, near Lammas Park.
Despite the efforts of ambulance staff, a five-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. She has been taken into custody.
The girl and woman were known to each other.
Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are in charge of the case.
