ONE of Britain’s most famous colleges is partnering with the University of West London in Ealing.

Ruskin College, Oxford, formed in 1899, has offered learning opportunities to generations of students who either missed out on formal education or faced financial, personal, or social obstacles.

In recent years, it has faced financial challenges but will now become part of UWL.

The two learning centres have a history of co-operation and share similar values of widening participation and access to higher education.

Prof Peter John, Vice-Chancellor of the UWL, said: “We look forward to reenergising the college so it can continue to deliver its historic mission.”
