A new chicken restaurant and takeaway is due to open in Aylesbury.

Pepe’s Piri Piri Aylesbury has replaced the outgoing Sam’s (also known as Zak’s) on Cambridge Street.

The building is owned by the Montalbano family who originally ran an Italian shop on the premises, Italian Continental Stores, until they retired in 2006.

It was revealed on June 18

They have since leased the outlet, but have been in a long-running legal battle with their previous tenants over the last seven years.

However, it has since been confirmed that the dispute has now been resolved with the property being leased to a different party.

The news of the latest eatery in the town was revealed on Friday, June 18, but it was confirmed through the Aylesbury Grapevine Facebook page, with many people showing their excitement about Pepe’s Piri Piri.

One user said: “Fantastic news! Best wishes for the boys to smash out a Pepe’s well needed in Aylesbury.”

An opening date has not yet been confirmed.
