PEOPLE interested in a nursing career can now apply for one of three new degree courses starting at Brunel University, Uxbridge, in September.
Freshly approved by The Nursing and Midwifery Council, the courses will train registered nurses to specialise in mental health, adult health and child health.
It comes as the response to the pandemic appears to have led to a surge in applications to do nursing.
“Nurses have literally been on the frontline throughout the pandemic and, as we start our path to recovery, we need professionally-trained registered nurses more than ever,” said Dr Karen Harrison White, Brunel’s new division lead for nursing.
Brunel already offers nursing career paths in community and public health nursing, nurse prescribing and nursing associate.
Students will learn in a new suite’ in the Mary Seacole building on the Uxbridge site.
