Traffic restrictions will be imposed on roads in the Barnet area while roadworks are carried out and to stop "obstructive parking".

Notices from the London Borough of Barnet in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times detail the limitations, including a temporary road closures and waiting and loading restrictions.

Coleridge Walk will be shut to vehicles for five days from May 25 to lay a new water connection.

However, the closure will only apply in daytime hours from 8am to 5pm while the work is carried out.

From the same day, ‘at any time’ waiting and loading restrictions arse set to be introduced in Friern Park to allow gas works to be carried out.

The order, if made, is expected to last for five days and will see the limitations imposed on both sides of the road from a point opposite the eastern flank wall of No. 127 Friern Park to a point 35 metres west of that point.

Meanwhile, new ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions are due to be introduced on a number of other roads on a permanent basis.

The order will take effect from June 8 and is being made to “deter obstructive parking and improve sightlines and safety”.
