THE new junior school head at Notting Hill & Ealing High School is Kate Bevan, who will succeed the retiring Silvana Silva in September.

With 17 years’ experience in primary education, Ms Bevan will lead the direction of Notting Hill & Ealing’s junior school, which was the Sunday Times Prep School of the Year in 2018.

Mrs Silva is retiring after 31 years at the school, the last eight as junior school head.

Kate Bevan said: “The time I have spent so far with pupils and staff has shown what a warm and intellectually stimulating place NHEHS is.”

Ms Bevan spent 13 years at Danes Hill School, gaining experience as a head of year, head of history and director of studies. She then spent two years as head of the junior school at Ibstock Place.

TWO teams from Notting Hill and Ealing have reached the finals of the Amazon Longitude Explorer Prize, worth £20,000.
