ST Benedict's School, Ealing, and Old Priorian Rugby Football Club have chosen the Rugby Players Association charity, Restart, as their official sports charity this year.

Restart offers current and former professional players in England with financial and emotional support for those forced to retire through injury and unable to work.

Damian Hopley, chief executive of the RPA, said: “On a personal note, this partnership is extra special, having spent several very enjoyable years at St Benedict’s with my older brothers back in the 80s.

“I have always applauded the way the school and rugby club continue to give back to the community and I’m thrilled the RPA’s official charity, Restart, will benefit from their support.”

OPRFC was originally formed by alumni of St Benedict's.

School head Andrew Johnson said: “Supporting players through difficult times is a principle we as a school feel closely aligned with.”
