Plans have been lodged to add three new floors to a building in Wealdstone and convert some of the existing floors into homes.

A planning notice from Harrow Council in this week’s Harrow Times outlines the proposal to add a fifth, sixth and seventh floor to Premier House in Canning Road.

The notice, advertised because it is a major development setting of a listed building, also states developers wish to convert a ground floor banqueting suite and floorspace on the second and third levels into 43 “residential units”, as well as changing part of the first floor for commercial use.

The plans also external alterations to the building including new windows and recladding and cycle parking for residents.

Meanwhile, parking places in a number of roads in Harrow are set to be made available for disabled people to park for any period without charge, as long as the Blue Badge is displayed.

The locations are: Antoneys Close (the north side, adjacent No. 42); Bedford Road (the south east side, adjacent No 55); Butler Road (the south east side, adjacent Nos. 37 & 37A); Harley Road (the south east side, adjacent No. 157 Harrow View); Honeypot Lane (the south west side, adjacent No. 553-555); Portland Crescent (the north west side, adjacent No. 142); Rosebery Avenue (the north east side, adjacent Nos. 8 & 10); Spencer Road (the north west side, adjacent Nos. 51 & 51A); Sussex Road (the north side, adjacent Nos 82 & 84).

Furthermore, the notice, if approved, would revoke the designation of parking places in these street lengths: Aberdeen Road (the west side, adjacent Nos. 42 & 44-46); Athelstone Road (the south east side, adjacent No. 31); Sussex Road (the north side, adjacent No. 114).
