A GREEN initiative in Northolt is announced today as one of34 community projects to benefit from the Mayor of London’s Grow Back Greener Fund.
Northolt Breathing Spaces aims to turn three unused and neglected sites into community ‘breathing spaces’, including on the Radcliffe and Medlar Farm estates.
A total of £699,000 has been awarded to London projects that will be completed between now and September 2021.
They include community gardens, mini parks, greening streets, allotments to benefit the community as well as training opportunities for 1,000 Londoners.
Projects were given priority in areas that have poor access to open space and nature.
