WHITCHURCH Cricket Club will hold their virtual AGM this November and is inviting new members to join the fold.

Owing to Covid-19 restrictions the club are unable to hold the AGM in person, with club issues being discussed over Zoom instead.

The club are also looking for play and non-playing staff to join, as Club secretary Meg Brunyard explained.

"Our Club AGM will be held on Friday, November 6, starting at 7.30pm and will be conducted virtually via Zoom," she said. "A link will be sent out nearer the time for you to use to access the meeting.

"Sadly, because of restrictions, holding a physical meeting is just not feasible or safe.

"We know that this year, we will be looking for a new secretary, third XI captain and two new welfare officers.

"If anyone would like to come and join this fantastic club, you would be very gratefully welcomed!

"We are a volunteer-run club and value the support from players, spectators, sponsors, parents and vice-presidents.

"Please can nomination forms be sent back to this address by Wednesday, November 4.

"You can also contact Iain Marsh on 07773 138271 if you wish to find out more information on how you can help.

"Lastly, we would like to thank you all for your support this year.

"It has been a year like no other and we are so fortunate to have been able to provide some cricket for juniors and seniors alike.

"We will hopefully see a more 'normal' season next year."
