A community project helping those in need during the Covid crisis is pleased to see Marcus Rashford’s campaign for free schools meals, but organisers believe the fight is for all.

The Manchester United and England footballer has won widespread acclaim for his quest to end child food poverty and his vision and ethos replicates that of the Rotary Club of Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell’s 3food4u initiative.

However, this project believes the fight is for adults as well as children and that no one should go hungry.

Organisers are this week thanking their friends and supporters at Casablanca Loughton, who are helping by organising a collection for 3food4u’s vital service, and to Loughton Self Drive for donating the use of a large van to collect all the donations it has received from local businesses.

East London and West Essex Guardian Series:

3food4u offers free groceries, home essentials, clothes, toys and more without assessment or referral to anyone that needs it, treating them humanely with dignity and respect.

Contact 3food4u if you or your community group can organise a collection too or would like to help in anyway. It could prove a life safer for so many families during this unprecedented and challenging period.
