A man has been taken to hospital after he became ill while at some playing fields.

The air ambulance was called to Radlett Road Playing Fields, Watford, shortly before 3pm today.

Paramedics also attended along with the police.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says it responded to reports of a man suffering a 'medical episode'.

Images show the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance landing in the field, close to an outdoor gym and courts, with paramedics attending to a man lying on the grass.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment, believed to be by road.
