A new church has launched to cater for the growing population in Harrow.

For now, the HopeChurch Harrow View service will be online until there is more confidence with the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is hoped that by Christmas, actual services at the church can be held.

HopeChurch hopes to cater to the entire community around Harrow View, the town centre and towards Hatch End - as new developments are being introduced and more moving in at the old Kodak site.

Reverend Malcom Finlay, the vicar at the church, said: “We are passionate about serving everyone in this beautifully diverse community, bringing Jesus’ hope and transformation, especially in these times of the Covid crisis.

“We want to offer practical help, a listening ear for the lonely, prayer for those in difficult time, help to bring food for those without enough and bring joy through family activities all as signs of the Jesus’ hope and love for this wonderful community.”

The online service is launching on October 11 at 10.30am, to join the service use the Zoom code 840 8935 5866.

A service for under 12s will take place immediately after.
